Thanks guys for your comments. I took the top of the carb off and cleaned it out, was a bit dirty. Put it back together and still the same. Taken carb of and doing a rebuild. Also going to check valve clearance too. Just bought a new rocker cover gasket today. Let hope this cures it.

Great news, its been a few days now and I think the gremlins are gone, and even better another mot passed today.

Result, gremlins gone. Found loose wiring on the back of the fuse box. One of the connector blocks had come loose. Off for an Mot Friday, lets hope them gremlins don't return.

They sure are from the club, original ones would have been better. but getting hold of some of those would be like finding some hens teeth. Well what a transformation that makes. I purchased some new weather strips for both doors and it looks so much better. should have done it ages ago, and didn't cost that much either. £25 to do both sides and really easy to do too. All done in an hour.

Well, it was great to see you guys and girls and have a laid back chat, talking about anything and everything. Its been a while since I've seen that many Capri's together. if you have the use of a compressor and an air wrench, zip the nut off whilst holding the pulley with an old fan belt.
