Re: front suspension tapping/knocking sound

My car did the same when the locking nut that holds the damper in wound itself loose, it was letting the whole assembly rock in and out.

Re: Engine Choices

Where from? I've been looking all over for the last few weeks on and off and cant seem to find anything sub about £800. Or I've been looking in the complete wrong place which, which wouldn't surprise me :p Well I rent a garage next to lots of drifters so thats why I used to get offered them a lot. ...

Re: Engine Choices

I think you can pick up a ca cheap still but thats cause when drifters up the power on the cheap they usually develop a bottom end knock.

Re: Engine Choices

SR20's are bloody lovely engines, I bought a standard 200sx in january and I couldnt belive how much it pulls unmodified. My mates 14 is also the fastest car I've ever been in. a capri spitting flames and turbo chattering would be lovely indeed.

Re: Over the winter touch up

Hi, As an ex-Chevette owner I'd be interested to see how work progresses on that as well as the Capri. Only 250 of all variants licensed now. Andrew. Yeah I've literally never seen a chevette on the road, It's gonna progress very slowly I suspect though with the work I'm doing on the capri and the ...

Re: Over the winter touch up

Hi guys, the unit is brilliant but it's not as dry as you'd hope. There is room for one more car but my mates s14 is going in that space haha. I do plan to work on the chevette but the capri is my priority. The chevette needs so much work but I'm not gonna give in and scrap it like people keep telli...

Re: Good looking 15" wheels

brooklands wheels are horrid IMO. Minilites always look nice. I'm after some compomotive cx type alloys for my capri eventually but I have a feeling I'll have to fork out and make some split rims to get what I want.

I have the 4.0 NA v8 in my jag, what a weapon. I'd love to see one in a capri.

Mine did this whith all new parts fitted. I had to tighten the tca to chassis bolts up a fair bit past the reccomended torque setting to take the slack out.

Re: coloured fan belts

I've only seen a coloured belt on a supra that had a clear timing cover. It was bright pink I think and it worked quite well with that car. It was overshadowed by a turbo bigger than the engine though.
