Anyone know where I might find a new/replacement or better sealing dipstick for a 2.8i?

An aftermarket double seal one would be perfect...

Thanks for the replies... RE: does your car have this? Yes and the valve seems ok, that said I might replace it just for the hell of it. I'm leaning towards giving it to turbo technics to do a turbo refurb and completely check it out. (ie: just throw money at it). And if that fails then an oil catch...

I've got a 2.8i turbo technics (high output low compression version I believe). NB: I'm not a mechanic by any stretch, I just drive the thing. I have an issue with some oil coming up the dipstick at high revs (just a bit). There is no sign of engine wear, no smoke, stacks of power, runs like a dream...

Can anyone recommend a seat restorer in Northants?

I've got a couple of 2.8i seats with a fag hole in each
(I have replacement fabric), and the leather could do with a
spruce up, and possibly new base foam.

Right more news on this, car just came off sorn and went down to turbo technics. Saw a very helpful chap called Tim. He suggested a recon turbo might help but then we got it up on the ramps ..and... oil is blowing out of the dipstick (at high revs at least). That's why it had a bung in it then. Time...

Sorry, been offline for a while. To those that asked, Yes I'm near Northampton. I've not been able to get the car out for a while due to some digging of drives going on, but in a couple of weeks she can come out to play - if sorted... I'm sure it didn't smoke before the service and I've noticed the ...

Well there's the thing, I haven't seen any oil coming out of the dipstick area.

What causes blow_by then?

I have a 2.8i special with the usual bolster wear and a fag hole in the cloth of each front seat.
(I'd prefer new cloth to a repair, because it never looks right..)

I bought a repro parcel shelf from the capri club, a fixing kit off ebay and some support strings off ebay. So far so good - except the strings... The shelf strings have a rubber disk at each end, I'm guessing the larger one goes under the shelf, but there doesn't seem to be anywhere for the smaller...
