Re: 1987 1.6 laser for sale, unfinished project.
I’m open to offers on this capri, I have several bits that may be of use to someone, but it has to go. It would be a shame to send it off to be scrapped but that’s where it’s going if no one is interested.

1987 1.6 laser for sale, unfinished project.
Hi, I’m selling my 1.6 laser project which I bought in July 2014 and struggled finding the time or money to do anything with it. Now many years later my relationship is finished and it’s just another bad memory I want to get rid of. It has a fairly good shell but will need some welding, I have 3 sec...

Mk3 non sunroof panel
Hello to all, I have decided to start sorting out my Capri after ignoring it in the garage for the last few years. I’m trying to find a non sunroof roof skin to weld in place of the rotten sunroof skin which I carefully removed leaving the frame intact. Does anyone have a non sunroof skin for sale? ...

Cossie 24v weight?
Apologies if this has already been covered but I need to know the approximate weight of a complete BOA cosworth 24v V6 engine without gearbox so I can get a shipping cost.
I guess about 200kg and roughly about 1 meter square. Does anyone have the exact weight and measurements?
Regards, Simon.

Re: Bits needed for my Mk3
I wouldn't want any decent capris shell chopped up just because it won't sell!
If there is one that has been chopped up already I could do with a few bits off it as explained above.
If anyone has the parts I need please let me know.

Bits needed for my Mk3
Can someone help, I need some (more) bits! On my Mk3 Laser rust bucket, in side the front wheel arch there is a plate on either side that the anti roll bar chassis bracket bolts go through. I need to replace the plates on both sides as they are well rotten. I have looked over the internet and cannot...

Re: 1.6 engine, starter, propshaft, and bumpers still availa
Axle and gearbox now sold. Still available is the complete 1.6 engine. I took the sump plug off and found it to have about 1 gallon of water in there with about 3 litres of oil floating on top of it. I don't think this will have done any harm because the water would have sat low in the sump. The bot...

Roof skin advice please.
I have finally managed to open the sunroof on my D reg mk3 laser, it was very stuck! As it tilted open I found a fair bit of rust inside and after finally getting the sunroof out I have discovered lots of rust on the inside of the roof skin which left big score marks in the sunroof panel as I slid i...

1.6 engine, starter, propshaft, and bumpers still available.
I'm selling the complete engine, 5 speed gearbox, starter motor, prop shaft and axle out of my recently acquired 1.6 laser. I have no idea of the cars history, it's showing just over 80 thousand miles on the clock it was registered in June 87. I was told it was driven to where it was stored and was ...

Hi, I could do with a pair of gas rams for the boot lid if they are still available. Simon 07970620486

My Mk3 1600 laser
After many years of wanting one I finally took ownership of my first Capri on 24/07/2014, its a Mk3 1600 laser registered in June 1987 with 4 previous owners. its never been nicked or smashed. I bought it off EBay for the grand sum of £730 with the promise from the previous owner that its a pretty g...

Re: WANTED Mk3 Capri WITHOUT SUNROOF
Thanks Andrew, I will be collecting the car later this week. I got it on eBay for a reasonable £730. It's a 1.6 laser so not the most desirable model by a long shot and it needs a load of work as its a non runner but the shell is very good with new genuine ford wings fitted when it was last on the r...

Re: WANTED Mk3 Capri WITHOUT SUNROOF
Simon, I have to say, it's great to see the support and encouragement you are receiving from Steve (elliecharlie2008). It appears that no-one wants to see your Capri dream in tatters! I really hope it works out for you. :) Andrew. Thanks for the support, I'm really grateful for the help and advice....
