Re: MK1 on ebay

Good spot, Major! It looks like the sunroof repair is years old though. I'd guess that a previous owner may have had one of those universal glass pop-up sunroofs fitted when they were all the rage in the 70s and 80s. Maybe a subsequent owner had a repair to revert it to standard spec and the result...

It's no more than an hour from me now as part of a collection. I like the idea of having a car collection, but who's got the time to maintain a fleet of classic Fords? Except Danny, obviously! Andrew. For the record, I definitely don't have enough time or money to maintain a fleet  There...

It's surprising how long these things can take. Interesting thread Danny, looking forward to more updates! It's a pain it's taking so long truth be told Was only expecting it to be gone for a couple of months, but as we all know - once you start chopping the rot you find more and more and you go al...

Re: Who Remembers?

If you happen to know the number I can have a look I can tell you that number 9 Mortlake Road is a 2 bed semi and sold in August 2023 for..... £730k Yes really That is crazy, it was 3 rooms downstairs and 2 room up stairs with a corridor along one side. If I remember correctly it was 29, no proper ...

Definitely think that is part of it Went to look at a car for one of my cousins a few weeks back and got chatting to the dealer there who told me that 99% of people don't even come to view the car before buying it and he was surprised when we had asked to look at it, let alone drive it It seems to h...

Re: NGK Spark plugs

Surely lasting longer is a bit of a moot point- depending how often you change your plugs of course...

I think I do mine every year or worst case every other, but the Haynes says to do them every 6months!

Either way, I've never had one break

Just curious to others thoughts 🤔

It's quite an eye-opener to see what is lurking under the surface! Still, it all looks good now. Presumably you are just having the repaired bits painted, not the whole car? Andrew. Quite concerning more than anything, i would never have known there was so much rust lurking underneath it all! Yes j...

It is a balance isn't it, how many people will have googled something to fix their car, used and abused the forum without ever becoming a member? Phils usual chap has stopped taking any work on due to health issues so guess I will have to start looking!
