Re: Rear seat backrest removal

If you only want to keep the material dry, then you can easily remove the rear pads by simply undoing the 10mm nut in the middle of the back at the bottom, under the semicircular cut in the rear carpet. Then push the protruding bolt in and lift the pad off the frame. Much easier and no fiddly setti...

Re: Uninvited guest

You need to get a cat. I've just spent half an hour chasing a bloody mouse round our kitchen that the little sod brought in. That's my excercise for the day! I'd gladly pay good money to watch that Paul! My GL looked like it had a whole family of mice living in it at some point! Took the rear...

Re: Custom front valance

The deep dish 4 spokes totally transform your car, mate. Looks gorgeous  Guessing they're 7.5 not 7's makes a huge difference They are indeed 7.5's give the car a much better stance and when you look at it head on or from behind it properly fills the arches whereas the 7s make it look a little...

I was thinking of going satin black... Chrome does sound awesome but would be the only chrome part on a black car so might look a little out of place

Re: Leaf spring snapped

Changing the springs can be relatively easy, mine was a massive ball-ache as they were the originals and rusted to buggery! The other thing I would say is that I had multi leaf springs on my laser originally, they broke, so replaced them with multi springs again to keep with the originality and they...

Your Capri looks great with those JBW wheels on. Do you mind me asking where you bought the valance from as I know there are a couple of company's that manufacture them? Cheers, Shane Thanks! Love those wheels! And I got mine from CCI, don't worry about the little bit of damage you can see ...

I have a fibreglass one on mine, great shape and mould if you decide to go down that route! Danny Do you have a photo of it mate? Cheers, Shane. I didn't take any pictures before I fitted it, but if you check my thread, on the first page there is a picture of it being fitted and sprayed... http://w...

I recently had the same problem and was the fuse box; I cleaned up all the contacts on the fuse box itself and was the wire coming off of fuse 1 that was the issue...

I agree with your point about opinions but wishing someone's business would burn down seems like an extreme way of expressing it... If you don't like what I do with my car I will fit a standard pea-shooter exhaust and standard 4 spokes and I will donate my mother fucker 3" straight thru exhaus...

Re: Easy upgrades for my 1600?

I've just had a 2ltr cam fitted into mine, along with a new 32/36 weber carb and a 3" sportex kit without any silencers, makes a massive difference!! Could go for a lair-ier cam as the one I fitted is a standard, could for a faster road cam or race cam as well Guessing you just have a standard...

Re: 2.8 a reg in Brookland colours

I'd imagine that the current or previous owners just liked the colour of the brooklands green and therefore had the car re-sprayed in that colour, it wasn't offered on capris before the Brooklands
