Re: Who Remembers?

I do love an open fire - my mum used to have one at her old house and it was lovely.
I always found the cleaning equipment made a better ornament as opposed to actually using any of it

Re: Most Expensive Capri ?

I know some people get excited about better-than-factory restorations and all that (and it is impressive) but its not something I really get, like trailer-ing cars to shows just for everyone to have a look at, then take it home after. This is being sold as an artefact to look at, and for someone to...

Re: Time

I can definitely relate - since I bought the 3.0 in 2019 I've barely touched it and it needs a full resto basically. I stripped the interior as it was quick and easy, dropped the steering rack and front suspension all by the summer of 19 and it's been sat on bricks ever since and I haven't touched i...

Re: Weber 34 ICH

I ran one of these for several years without any issues - but I was using it as a daily!
It may be brand new but that doesn't mean it's not faulty - Steve's check would be my first point of call, possibly could be a faulty jet if it's constantly letting fuel by when it shoudlnt?

I mean, if it clears out the TOWIE lot I'm more than happy to let it go off!
Don't worry, the closest active volcanoes to us are either Vesuvius or that one in Iceland!

Almost, if we wiped out a large portion of the population surely less people would mean less global warming??

Well the pictures aren't great Nick but to me look a little like Eric Idle and Michael Palin so I'm going with a Monty Python sketch. 10points to Peter! Monty Pythons Flying Circus - I saw it was added to Netflix so took the time to binge it while the better half was out yesterday Apologies the pic...

Re: If you think you`ve got problems...

I can't help but wonder how a "wellness retreat" can cost £4000 a week. It sounds like a good business to be in though. Andrew. Wales is meant to be peaceful isn't it Andrew? Open a wellness retreat from your shed at the end of the garden and start charging £4k a week - you'll mak...

I know that since she started running her business it has never once turned a profit of any kind so not surprised that she's feeling a bit insecure when hubby is off starting football clubs in a foreign country without an issue... Her parents are my Dad's God-parents and they're lovely! Can't say I'...

Re: Capri hot start problem

It is a bit of a shame as the VV does have a kind of historical interest value - it IS how the cars came after all. But beyond that, it really doesn`t have anything going for it, as Danny and other.... people have said, the DGAV is just better in every way. Plus you can bin all the pipes, valves, t...

Re: Capri hot start problem

After all the good work done bringing the car up to such a looker its a shame to have engine hassles , As andyd has said about his replacing the VV with a 32/36 weber and manifold ..... it will transform the car :D :D :D :D :agree: I would gently remove the VV carb, once removed throw it into the n...

after watching "the chaser " and other UK quizz shows ,it would seem a good many of you dont know much about New Zealand Hamish, I`ve seen contestants who thought the capital of France was Italy so really it`s not just antipodean nescience ;) I saw a great video the other day of someone b...

Jason, don't be so silly.
Anyone can tell you that's clearly an 80s capri - can't you tell from the slightly different shade of stitching on the door cards?? ;)

Alternatively, the chap I know who has a box of parts has one if it's of interest? If you want to make an offer I can ask him if he's happy with it?
