Re: Temp and fuel gauge annoyance

You mentioned your sheared off the dash trim - which bit do you mean? Just wondering if you had loosened the steering column slightly to let it drop when you are removing/refitting the dash? Gives some extra wiggle room

Re: Auto shift illumination

Should have bought the one I sent the link for a few months ago πŸ˜‰

The C3 gearbox was used on several cars and I would imagine that the illuminator is the same on them all. Might be worth having a look to see if you can find any parts from those cars that people may be breaking for parts

Re: Coolant boils, there is an exhaust smell in the interior

When you say an exhaust smell inside the car, is the car currently stripped out or running? If stripped out then yes it will stink and not much you could probably do about it, if kitted out then am a bit puzzled Are you sure there are definitely no leaks anywhere on the exhaust or that there are no ...

Re: Mk1 auto gear selector clips

Think you may have a hard time finding the exact clips or whatever you want to call them, but they were the same on all auto capris regardless of the year, and I would imagine can also be found in any other Ford of the period with a C3 box so someone may have some knocking around Otherwise you will ...

Luckily before posting I realised I had the light grey can and therefore it looking awful is totally my own fault πŸ˜‚
