Re: Wanted slot mags

OK just missed them never sold so might relist thanks. Just need 1 wolfrace slot mag now to complete the set. I have Ford fitting 5.5" slotmags coming out of my arse, with tyres on. Would you like some? What size slots are on your car Tom? Been looking for a set like them but I'm guessing yours are...

Re: Fuse box queries

None of my cars have all connected - I have the a wire on fuse 1, fuses 3 and 4 and 6 - basically take the wire to fuse 7 off yours, put it on number 1 and would look exactly like my three do

Re: Fuse box queries

Good point - the connection you have on fuse 7 is attached to fuse 1 on mine?

Re: Horn Location

Good point Noel - I'd forgotten about that - if the plastic casing in the horn/indicator stalk next to where it connects to the steering column is damaged, the whole stalk becomes a nightmare. When mine broke whenever I tried to use the flashers it indicated left instead, but when I indicated nothin...

Re: Horn Location

The horn is one Fuse 1 - not sure what else doesn't work on your car but fuse 1 also powers the washer bottle pump, interior courtesy lights, cigarette lighter, and starts the car. If these other parts all work I'd say the earth is most likely not working unless the positive has been damaged/fiddled...

Re: Rear wiper

Just thought - do you have the connection on the boot strut? That could be where you other wire should be going to if it's not connected and not working

Re: Handbrake adjustment

What's the actual problem with the handbrake?
I had a nightmare earlier this year and it ended up being because of the drum shoes in the rear brakes

Take a look here if it helps

Re: Rear wiper

From memory there was an earth that went onto one of the screws holding it in place, and another to the beaker in the boot lid, but without taking my one apart again I can't remember what else it looks like off the top of my head I'm afraid

cheers

Re: Rear wiper

The rear wiper will only work when the boot lid is closed - when you open the boot, on the left hand side there is a small metal disc in the boot itself that connects to a small part of protruding metal (much like the courtesy light on the other side) that is sprung loaded into place. The metal on t...

Fairplay having a car you enjoy on a daily basis. Most of us have something practical but all very boring.

Re: The pleasure of motoring..

I don't think MOT testers check headlight aim as carefully as they should. I'm finding that as I get older I less like driving at night. I was thinking the same thing the other day while I was being blinded by someone - I don't think anyone has ever checked my headlight aim, just that the lights co...

Re: The pleasure of motoring..

I feel the same way about these country roads - where I live the only way to get there is through hordes of narrow country roads and I'm permanently being blinded by people who have stupidly bright xenon lights and who drive in the middle of the road as they have no idea about the size of their own ...

I've always thought these look kinda cool - did look at one for a while but someone told me that they have engine problems after 60-80k miles?

Is it still good fun?? :lowrider:

Depends on your target audience when you sell - purists won't be a fan but performance upgrades will be valued by some.
At least it's reversible if you do decide to go ahead with those mods

Re: Diff Oil change

They normally rot around the mounting for the handbrake rod and the clip for the brake pipe. Yeah mine has gone just to the right of these points - will make sure I check next time before I put it all back together! That`s a bloody shame! Maybe just rub down the area, de-grease, and slap a bit of c...

Re: Mk3 2.0 laser restoration advice

You can get RS4 spokes in 13" or 15", if you want a deeper/wider wheel they do 13" RS4s that are 7.5" deep rather than the standard 6"
