Clearly, part of the £17K refurb cost was not spent on the CCI reproduction seals !

Hehe, yes, maybe they couldn't afford the full set.

Very interesting. And you certainly have a knack for finding these cars for sale Andy :) You must have your ear to the ground, or, in Huggy Bear like fashion, you know the word on the street.

The guy narrating it simply sounds like he doesn't know what he's talking about.

I did spot the door frame seals were in place - thanks to Andrew I can see myself checking every Capri I come across for those now! :)

I used some spray adhesive by Mercado.

Great, and glad it is sorted. Have to admit that, without checking, can't even recall if my car has them or not!

Re: RIP Meatloaf

Cant help but thinking the world is loosing something special, specially when we get left with shit acts that seem to be filling the gaps these true maestro's leave when they go Pretty much sums it up. Have some beers and listen to his Bad Attitude album (1984), it's as good as anything he's done, ...

Always interesting to know the conclusion of threads like this, so with that in mind, which method/products did you use to attach them?

Re: RIP Meatloaf

Been a fan for many years, have lots of albums, as in proper albums that you actually go and buy.

Saw him in concert in the 80s, he put the mike down in between songs and spoke/shouted to the audience, and you could still hear him. A real powerhouse.

Re: Wanted Chassis Turner/car rottisery

If you search again but use the Completed Listings option it will show up and tell you if it sold or just ended, if so you can contact the seller and see if still available.

Re: Wandering Timing Magical Mystery!

As with the previous reply, I'm also thinking of something odd with the timing belt Tom. Is that new also? If not it may be worth changing it as they're cheap enough.

Tell them there's no rush, doesn't matter if it takes, say, several weeks. By that time you may have sorted your garage anyway :)

Re: Car cover or don't cover

Just have a look at the car cover thread, link below, that was with a Hamilton breathe-able fleece cover, expensive too.
I think a lot depends on the paint type and lacquer, any cover can be a try it and see gamble.

Re: Car cover or don't cover

I wouldn't cover it to be honest, they can be damaging, especially if the car has no lacquer. Do a search on here for my car cover thread, you will see what problems they may cause, which echoes what Andy has said above. I know of two or three Capri's in my area which are left outside uncovered. Wel...
