Re: Penetrating Oil
For future reference Paul, I think you can get Plusgas from Screwfix, as well as Amazon. Just ordered some, thanks again.

Re: Penetrating Oil
Paul - re your question Plus Gas does get down into the threads of rusted bolts and in most cases will release them if left overnight. It really does work much better than WD40. I also put a socket over rusted bolts/nuts and give them a good twat with a large engineer's hammer before trying to undo...

Re: Penetrating Oil
Is there any apparent difference with these penetrating agents, and just standard WD-40, as that's all I've really used?

Re: Angle Grinders £10
Just thought I'd mention that Aldi have had cordless angle grinders in recently at just £9.99. Impossible to not buy at that price. In fact, after I tested/played with it for a while I was that impressed I bought another as a spare, from Aldi's website as they were the same price on there. Battery i...

Re: 3.0 Exhausts. Which ones?
In terms of stainless systems being more cost effective over their lifetime when compared to the cost of a mild steel exhaust, I sincerely doubt. Yes, just the point I was making. Also, fitting it is straight forward, satisfying and good fun, can't understand why anyone would only wish to do it onc...

Re: 3.0 Exhausts. Which ones?
I'd definitely recommend Klarius exhausts, based on my own experience.

Re: 3.0 Exhausts. Which ones?
I don't quite get the stainless steel fascination personally. I bought a whole system, including brackets etc. for a Laser which came to around £90 I think it was, delivered. With that in mind, I could buy another 6 or 7 full systems, all nice and easy to fit, for less than a stainless one will cost...

Re: Fuel gauge not working
shouldn't the two wires that go to the sender unit make the gauge go to the top if touched together? It should yes, and as you have done this test you can leave the sender unit to one side for now. If you are sure that one of the fuel gauges is a working one, then perhaps it might be worth consider...

Well I phoned again and they refused to send a replacement out saying the other one might arrive next year. Very poor.
