Re: Engine Swap - Pinto 1600 to Pinto 2000

Messing around with cars gives me aches in muscles which don't even react to a week long workout in a gym!

Re: Finally my first ever Capri! 1987 2.8i Special

For bleeding the brakes, I use Gunson's Eezibleed. A recommendation I'd like to give for brake bleeding is this - https://www.halfords.com/workshop-tools/tools/hand-tools/europat-vizibleed-brake-and-clutch-bleeding-kit Very cheap price and made the job very easy and worked very well, surprisingly so.

You haven't mentioned the dissy cap. I would certainly change that. I had an issue similar to yours, changed loads of things as you have. But it was only when I changed the dissy cap and rotor arm that the fault went away.

Junk and Disorderly starts on ITV4, September 30th.

Henry Cole and Sam Lovegrove, so pretty much same as Shed and Buried, so worth a look.
I really like those two, glad to see something new appearing. Thank you for the info.

Re: Radiator Coolant Level

Update - Having checked with the company, it appears that item only has the one bottom seal, so not correct part.

Having never used this supplier before, please would someone be able to confirm that this is the correct part according to the specs listed.

I'm up for something over the winter, definitely. I keep my Capri on tax throughout
Me too. There are plenty of nice dry sunny days to get out there too, especially as the seasons all seem to be merging into one these days.

Re: Radiator Coolant Level

In the interim, as I have a couple of other things to contend with, until I buy a new radiator cap, I have turned the existing one round by 180 degrees, this has fixed it for now. Sounds daft but things get 'used' to being a certain way after years, and changing them in such a way makes it new again...

You certainly can here Andy :) The more modern name for them is meatballs I think. Although to me, that sounds worse.

don`t forget there`s also women`s cricket and even women`s rugby now! TBH I think, in the beginning you had TV, with 2 channels.... Bit like starting Christmas in September . ;) As I turn on the news there are many serious issues to contend with, some people really do have it bad, just now I've see...

Re: heard it all now....

our grandparents were the ones who had the right to complain but they just dug in and got on with it!! That is so true for our previous generations Andy, and one of the values I try (not always successfully) to live by. I rarely heard my parents complain, it would have to be something really drasti...

Have you noticed at the beginning of Porridge it states 'may contain some out dated language' and a scene has been cut from an episode of Minder where Terry does a Indian accent  I have noticed this kind of thing Andy yes. I watch Talking Pictures a lot, and I have seen films on there and, asi...

men don't want to do nail extensions. Speak for yourself :D Yes, fair points Andy. All of the air time being given to women's football I find hard to understand. I mean, is anyone really interested in that? In just seems to be a far worse version of the men's game to me, and I can barely name one f...

Re: Radiator Coolant Level

Thanks Steve, it wasn't so much that there was an air gap previously, it's just that now the rad/cap level is too high/overflowing due to the poor cap I think. Therefore the coolant is working past the seal(s) and the cap is soaking. It was never like that previously. New cap, tight seal, all back t...

Having just looked at prices, and surprised how cheap they are, then yes I think I shall most likely take your advice Andy. Isn't it great that so many parts are still being produced for our 30 odd year old cars.
