Re: Temp sensor bullet connector

I'd try CapriGear for your connector - https://caprigear.co.uk/

As a regular user of this forum you can PM him on here too, I've found he replies very quickly to help.

Re: Laser 1600

The brass floats have been adjusted. They were at 32mm when vertical, which would have led to excess fuel in the chamber, so I have set them to the recommended 40mm with a 10mm drop. Assuming you have a 32/36 carb I think the brass float setting is 41 and 51. http://www.ladaniva.co.uk/baxter/resour...

If only it stayed like that and kids today didn't 'progress' to the other stuff.

Re: carb float setting

Set it up correctly and see whether starting gets better. What 340truck means is set it up as follows (courtesy of 340truck) - Simply....you adjust the mixture by turning the screw in or out until you find where the engine runs fastest. Adjust the idle control screw to slow it down to 750-950 rpm a...

Re: Sinclair C5

Thanks for your reply and info Rob :) I think you're absolutely correct, this will have the same failure rate as the original. And actually, I think the original looks better!

Re: Sinclair C5

That`s a brilliant idea and really nicely done. I would buy that tomorrow as it would be cheap to run and perfect for nipping to all the places it`s impossible to find parking. There is a massive downside though, the cost, apparently a whopping £3500. And the potential to have it nicked must be hig...

I remember seeing at least one back in the day, locally. Was a rare sight though!

Re: Sinclair C5

could it be that this form of electric personal transport was years ahead of it's time? Andrew. It is a fair point that, just a shame that he was held back by the tech of the day. The battery for example, realistically would give 6-10 miles, the one I posted the link to on ebay (with alternate mode...

TBH he's really cheap at that price
£1800 for a little drawing of a car. Is it really worth it?

That looks really useful, and fair prices. Why don`t you add it to this: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=50830
:agree:

Done it for you JM.
Might be worth taking it off to be honest, until we at least have some recent recommendations. Seems totally useless.

runs a local club. They have around 30 of the beasts that you can hire for a little run out around the coast and it seems people do!
That's incredible, must be the most in one location anywhere in the world.

Re: Sinclair C5

Great replies, thanks guys, and loved the clips. There is a jet powered one even. There is currently one on ebay with superb modifications, if they were made like this originally they would have fared much better (although impossible with 80's tech) - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sinclair-C5-High-spee...

I saw a couple of these at the weekend at a show. It's an absolutely baffling invention. Anyone here ever have one or know of anyone?

A company with nothing but a mobile number seems far more fly by night, than a traditional business with a landline and an address.

Re: New Capri locks & Keys

I e-mailed them recently after seeing this thread as I need a duplicate key for a car, but received no response. Communicating with customers does not appear to be high on their list of priorities, as I am still waiting for a call back. Andrew. And I still haven't had a reply to my E-mail either. I...

Re: COMING SOON....

Around 1984/85, myself and a few mates used to rent this video on a weekend and I also taped the audio onto cassette tape :) Good times I bet Andy, it's great to be passionate about music. I saw Sabbath once, in the 80's, I know they are infamous for line up changes and only Iommi was present at th...
