Re: Mk3 V8 build
Great build mate! About those push on an-fittings. I am having trouble with my Capri's turbos extra oil cooler fittings. The screw on type an-fittings I use atm, one is leaking. Tightening does not help. Will these push on type fittings handle the oil pumps pressure ok? Should be OK. Just had to ask...

Re: mk2 v8 build
Nice pics there. You have the same type exhaust setup as I have under my Capri atm. Looks good :) Yeah, V8 torq is nice. I dynoed (or the seller did) my swap engine before the donator car went to finnish winter hibernation. 320rwhp and 1.1bar boost. Holset HX50 or something (cant remember the exact ...

Nice to hear that mate!
Sound check video is obligatory.
Cant wait to start my 2.9 V6EFI turbo conversion either
Skogenracing boys at Sweden have successfully taken over 300 horses out from stock 2.9 EFI engine.
Should be fun...

Re: mk2 v8 build
Well, Stang axle and diff with lock is better than nothing, compared to English- or Atlas axle.
Keep at it mate.
My 2,9 EFI conversion is almost ready to come out from hibernation too...

Heh!
Now you have an excuse to pimp the rear end.
Separate suspension, viscous lock diff and all that nice race stuff, which can withstand the spanking...

Re: mk2 v8 build
Uuuh,
Frikkin´ awesome looking banded wheels. Are those steelie Mangels ones?
I have a 13" set of Mangels steelies, and I am going to widen those for next summers project.
How wide are those wheels now? What ET? I do not see any arch modding.
Cheers from Finland

Re: mk3 2.9 V6 conversion... First project
OK, Can you at least take some photos of the wirings connectors? Specially the EFI loom connectors. Just need to see someones ready setup and compare it. I have already started to do the wiring and next is the testing that the wiring is done correct and starter motor turns from key and I have spark....

Re: mk3 2.9 V6 conversion... First project
Yeah,
I have the internal pump type tank too.
The wiring connections pictures would be awesome to have.
What wirings are to be used from EFI harness, and where to plug those to the original Capri wiring harness?
Cheers

Re: mk3 2.9 V6 conversion... First project
Nice project mate.
Can you tell me, what petrol tank is in use?
Would you also mind taking some pics of the ECU and the wiring of the engine?
I am just converting my Capri with the same engine and doing the wiring now.
Cheers

Re: Time to start the fun!- FUCK THIS SHIT!!
I am sure that this decision was a good one. As you said, that shell is too much of a goner already. Let it fly to Capri heaven and shred some rubber there. Would be nice to see another V8 Capri build. I am also trying to cut a deal with a Rover SD1 seller here. V8 and manual gear box. In running or...

Re: Time to start the fun!
Huh! Dont want to be party pooper, but that shell is way too much of a goner. One other bloke at CP forum is trying to rescue same kind of shell, and he is losing his marbles atm. That door pillar itself is a nightmare to rescue, let alone the other areas, where a person must make diffucult corners ...
