can i ask why you was disappointed with a plan ?
[/quote]
A combination of things, some of which were mistakes on policy details and renewal price hikes on our everyday vehicles. At 53years of age clean licence and no convictions I was too much of a risk to cover me when I purchased a Nissan navara.

Re: insurance
I am with Adrian Flux for my daily and Lancaster for the Capri after being disappointed with A Plan who I used to have 3 vehicles with. I can’t fault the service with Flux or Lancaster but I haven’t claimed whilst I’ve been with them.

Very enjoyable read you have put together there with some nice photos. I had a Miami blue 1974 3.0 Ghia back in 81 and have always liked that colour.

Re: 2.8 valve clearance query
Hi did they put a new cam in because if there was a problem with the case hardening on the cam it would affect all the valve clearances. A new cam requires breaking in when first run Ie normally at 3000 revs for a set period of time.
Re: 2.8 coil
Check what voltage you have going to the coil if it's 12v instead of 9v something isn't right, either the ballast resister circuit or the feed from the starter motor staying live.
Re: 2.8 coil
Yes it's for the radio I removed mine because it was causing running issues.

Re: 2.8 engine mounts
I've changed mine but I jacked the engine up under the front crank pulley ( the jack has a thick rubber pad). I removed the sump to change the gasket whilst I was at it.

Re: 2.0 Axle on a 2.8I
Hi I rebuilt my 2.8 axle with lsd using new bearings and a 3.44 cwp reading up on information from the net but you do need certain specialist tools and knowledge. With the 5 speed box I think the 3.44 ratio wakes the cologne up a bit and will still pull similar top speeds but at higher revs. If you ...

Re: Tuning the Cologne 2.8
Performance per pound I would find a second hand Turbo technics kit and fit that. You wil probably find a Sierra kit on Ebay if you look long enough.

Turbo technics conversion.
Hi can anyone give me an idea of what needs to be moved to allow fitting of the turbo.I am struggling to get the turbo in place it will not fit between the engine and inner wing and if it did it would foul on the brake lines.I have removed the fuel lines and filter. Its a standard F26 kit. Thanks Ian.
