In the second one , fook all as the guy i bought it off was tighter than tight , he even took the cheap car mats out of it, the cheek of it. In fact he unpolish...

Re: dumb... but... how the hell do i use the capri jack?

i useed the std jack on my first cappa [ in 2007] and it ripped fook out of the sill, saying that mind the car was pants. I now use bottle jacks, trolley jacks, axle stands. No bits of wood / planks / bricks , i did that once with a mk4 cortina and fell off them very easily.

Re: Electical Issues

i would agree that fuses appear to the root of all evil. Coupled with dodgy earth connections on the rear lights....its enough to drive yer mad. On the weekend my electrics were fooked , something strange was going on there. Any way got all the fuses out , cleaned the contacts on the fuse box , fitt...

Funny thing electrics are on old cars , on the weekend my lights , wipers , indicators, horn did / did not work. Took all the fuses out , cleaned the contacts up , fitte...

heated rear screen connections

I just had the rear windscreen replaced in my cappa. My car is an 86 laser; the glass came out of an 82 GL model. I went to connect up the heated rear screen and noted that on either side of the glass there are two metal spade connectors, trouble is I only have one lead wire with a female connection...

Snow ...dont you just hate it !

About two weeks ago I finished work at 5pm and started my 17 mile journey home. On the way home it was snowing very heavily. This resulted in an 8 mile tailback, at 8.30pm things turned desperate; I was low on fuel and without heaters. Given that the cappa is a bit light on the back end, it was diff...
