thanks 340truck for the offer of the Capri wheels but its a bit far to go from Reading. I would offer them on the "parts for sale " section as they are too rare to scrap Steve

Re: wheels that fit capri
Hello all, I dont like axle stands for the front as I think it will damage the mcpherson strut seals and moving the car for winter jobs would not be as easy as on wheels.I shall try and get s/hand escort wheels and tyres should fit ok .
.Thanks for the help, Steve

Hello, had the same approach in answer to my advert for my gold 1.6GL. Offered cash and wanted my address. Now very wary of phoney "buyers"

Re: my capri restorations on going thread
Hello , my oyster gold t reg 1.6GL capri has much less rot than the one you picked up. However it does need rear arches. I have blocked the vents in the tailgate drain channels to keep the inner arches dry. Slap on the rist to ford for such a lousy feature!.

If its listed on DVLA, I think you can pay them to get the owners name and address. Parking contr.actors do this often. Steve

Re: Brake Bleed nipple WHAT SIZE
Hi, came across a similar problem with a vauxhall viva. If your 10mm socket is slightly too small to fit the old bleed screw , you probably have the 7/16th inch AF as fitted to older cars. Not sure what the thread is but may be something obscure like unf. Brake pipe suppliers may know.
