Re: Brake Master
The larger bore ones haven't been available from my usual outlets for some time now. Past Parts can properly refurbish the original ones, far better than simply sticking in a set of seals. Thanks Caprigear, may come to that down the road, for now just want try diagnose these brakes, see if i can ge...

Re: Brake Master
If the pipe change doesn't sort it the ATE master cylinder for a Granada will fit. It has a slightly bigger bore but does the job and still seems available. Good to know Peter, what year, i got a 94 Granada shell just sitting had a 2.9 in it we took few years ago for something else, will take look ...

Re: Brake Master
have you got it piped correctly? it looks to me like the two outlets at the front are piped to one front brake and the rear line into the other? then the rear outlet, the pipe wiggles its way across the engine bay to the other front brake? i thought both front brakes are fed off the front of the ma...

Re: Brake Master
What is it doing ....or not doing ? The cylinder can be resleeved if its either worn or corroded , and you can usually see that with the eyecrometer. really poor brakes has been long time, cleaned bore looked pretty good. rebuilt all new seals, Rear bleeds fine, front passenger side bleeds fine, dr...

Re: Brake Master
It looks like a ATE one for a 2.8i. They aren't available new, you'll have to have yours refurbished. Been rebuilt already, still no joy, is there no replacement, wow that is weird, so brake booster is different on ATE as well ??? and replacement 2.8 ones from capriclub are different ? i thought so...

Re: Brake Master
why do you want to replace it ? Looks OK from the outside . You can get new seals for them if you just want to freshen it up a bit. Im sure there will be a tutorial vid on you tube showing how to do the job :) Rebuilt with new kit already still not working, yes looks lovely, but must be something w...

Re: What clutch is this ?
A common engine swap is 1.6 to 2.0. I believe the clutch was smaller on the 1.6. yeah have done it time or two. not for a long while tho, but i always left flywheel alone on the 2 lt is 1.6 clutch that small do you know ??? and are bell housing and starter and input shaft all comparable, i honestly...

Re: Decal and badge
Nice, anyone on here got a GT4 or know anyone with one :? Are you talking about the bonnet and side stripes? It would be a heck of a job measuring all of those! If you mean the bootlid decal, would it be the same "Capri 1.6" or "Capri 2.0" as on other models? Andrew. No Andrew l...

Re: What clutch is this ?
As long as you don't discover you've actually been driving a 1.6 with a twin choke Webber  :xd: or 1300 pinto :D :D :D :D :D no its 2lt 205 stamped block, that was main reason i got it and solid enough shell, engine runs sweet as nut, just done timing belt and service, its got electric ignit...

Re: What clutch is this ?
If it's a 23 spline friction plate and a smaller cover plate then I can get them. I think it's 190mm clutch for a 1.3 that was in it somehow, but i want to replace it with correct 215mm kit, but that will not fit on the flywheel, it must be 1300 flywheel as well, is that possible do you think ? jus...

Re: What clutch is this ?
So you're looking for a 23 spline friction plate but smaller cover plate than the standard 2 litre clutch? shouldn't be that difficult, most retailers go by parts books that have been wrong for years. You would think so right ? they both 23 spline friction plates, they both came from 2lt Pinto engi...

Re: Decal and badge
Hi, anyone, know of anyone making good Capri GT4 decals ???? Thanks I'm after some of those too, can't find any. I asked a couple of companies and we basically have track down the dimensions of the stickers and pass them on. Nice, anyone on here got a GT4 or know anyone with one :? thanks Tom
