Re: Bulk order Rear brake shoes (8inch drums)

I got them for a fair price so I'm selling them for a fair price, it's not rocket science, it's the difference between profit and profiteering.

Re: What is killing everyone?

the non-covid death rate has been consistently higher than the 5 year average for about 6 months and is affecting all age groups. Or maybe it is still covid, but either people can't be arsed to write it on the death certificate, or have been instructed not to? They used to say opinions are like ars...

Re: 3.0 Exhausts. Which ones?

Agreed, the Sportex manifolds are a pain in the arse, not only are they badly formed, the drivers side one actually catches on the steering column UJ. I've had this issue on two different 3 litres that have had these manifolds fitted. I recently fitted a Janspeed system onto a set of standard manifo...

Re: Fuel gauge not working

Try cutting the two sender wires back at least a foot or so and replacing with new wiring.

Re: Capri Club Magazine Late?

Received my CCI mag this morning. To be fair to CCI, they're not responsible for the carnage currently being wreaked on the country. I send out every parcel by a tracked service but I am more and more switching to couriers just to be able to carry on providing a mail order service.

I'm pretty sure that Phil Thompson the Liverpool captain used to own one and also Jimmy Saville, probably best not to dwell for too long on that one !!

I would be having a look at the fuel mixture, sounds like it's very much on the lean side.

Re: Timing Question - too much advance?

Sounds like a dodgy distributer to me. We have fitted these to our builds previously and they don't always run well if you set them to the book settings. We have had to sometimes set them up by ear and do several road runs to get them sorted. These distributors are sold for a variety of motors and I...

You could try powdercoating them but the baking on of the powdercoat would concern me. Best to ask somebody who is a powdercoater.

Be just as easy to keep the grab handle Mark . I doubt if filling the holes would make for a permanent repair.

Re: Brake line colour

I've previously used a few different shades but I have now settled for Olive Green. It is a real ballache preparing and painting the brake pipes but I can't stand to see them not done.

Re: Capri 2.8i injectors

Get a bigger slide hammer, they will have to come out, Chances are you will leave the O ring and plastic sleeve in the manifold but they can be easily picked out.
