Re: Good old days.
Absolutely the good old days. Stoneleigh was a brilliant venue. The car park was every bit as good as the show itself. We didn't realise then just how good the scene was. Fast forward 30 odd years to what we have now - depressing.

Re cores are not that much cheaper than a new Rad. Try Richard at Boston Motorcool, top guy and fair price.

If I remember correctly it sold for a tad under £12k, as for original, it's a bloody long way off that!

Re: Cheapest Capri's On Sale.
That’s a good question as I was watching somebody on you tube or TV talking about pre war cars that are not making the money they did a few years ago , Rovers seem to be still available at good cheap prices , MG-TF have stuck around the £1000 pound mark for some time as the Pumas accept the 17 race...

CCI Show, Evesham 08/05/22
I shall be attending this show but no longer have facilities for card payments so sales will be cash only.
I shall be taking a selection of new and used items but unless large items, especially panels are pre ordered I won't be taking them.
Please message me with any requests, thanks, Martin.

If somebody could bottle the smell of Castrol R that would take you right back to the seventies.

End of the day it's his car to do with what he wishes. However strange, look on the bright side, he could have rattle canned it matt black and taken the bumpers off!

Re: dash metal frame wanted
Hi Andrew, no I havent tried Martin yet but will definitely give him a call. It is a shame CC dont take in any old frames and offer them back out for people buying there replacement dash top so people can then get it all prepared ready for fitting, you know only too well the prep that is required. ...

Re: Replacement Door seals advice
I tend to use MK1/MK2 Escort seals now especially of the cars with the thicker cards. The seals are not mitred but they are slightly thinner so you don't have to slam the doors . I usually find that the CCI ones work on cars with the thinner cards although I always put some holes in the rubber so th...

Re: Bangers and cash Vs Car SOS
What car was featured on the show this time? Where does Bangers and Cash fit into this? Sorry, but I'm confused.... Andrew. The second paragraph should read Tonights Bangers and Cash that should make more sense to you :) Think it's repeated tonight at 9.00 on Yesterday channel. Copied from the web;...

Re: Heater Box Removal
I can tell you that you certainly don't remove the console, steering wheel or the stalks in order to take out the heater. I've done hundreds of them and only once did I disturb the console and that was on a 2.8i that had been fitted with a massive air conditioning unit.

You'd be better off unbolting the door from then car then try to remove the pins once it is off the car.
