Re: Misfiring on 5 and 2
I would check the inlet manifold gasket, may have failed .I assume you've checked the injector spray patterns though it would be strange to have the same fault on opposing cylinders

Re: Shed & Buried Classic Cars
Love the Motorbike show. Millyard is a genius. Sam and Guy are also very clever guys. Henry is unlike most " presenters" he knows his limitations but genuinely loves all things mechanical.

Re: Door seals
You can warm them with a hairdryer or heat gun (carefully), and close the door when warm and let them cool, it helps to 'mould' them to the correct shape and good fit. You could do it several times as required. I think it's a shame to buy a brand new seal and put holes in it, but as said that isn't...

Re: Door seals
Quick question, I have fitted new door seals on the Capri, they seem to be good quality and fit very well, however now I have to literally slam the doors hard to get them to shut properly, any thoughts guys? Hey Wayne, Usually people drill additional holes in the seals to allow the air inside to es...

Re: 1972 Mk1 V4 Restoration - Rear seat backs
The rear seat back is held in at the top by two spikes that push into clips on the rear bulkhead. It's just a case of pulling the seat back out, it seems as if it is fixed but it's only being held by the spikes on the seat frame into the clips.

Re: 2.8i tank wanted
D366Y so you would go out and buy the same part for more money ? I would if it meant keeping suppliers Like Martin in business, what happens if the cheaper fuel tank does not fit or you have a problem fitting it ? Some generic part supplier will know nothing about how to fit it. Running a cl...

Re: 2.8i tank wanted
Personally, I would advocate going through CapriGear, CCI, Tickover etc wherever possible as you get the backup of a known person of good standing who will see you right if there's a problem, or the part doesn't fit, etc, rather than someone off ebay with an unknown background! I've seen some of th...

Can't really tell in you picture but make sure that the rad cap is just a plain cap, not a pressure cap. The pressure cap needs to be on the expansion tank.

Re: Temp and fuel gauge annoyance
Quick question- the pipe from rad to expansion tank always spews out water at the rad outlet connection. No matter what I do, replace clips, new pipe… could it be the tank is somehow pressured because the expansion tank’s outlet itself is blocked? I can see the expansion tank outlet hose runs into ...
