Re: Coming soon. Brand new fuel tanks MK2/3

The pipes and neck should be O.K. I don't currently stock the senders but you could try CCI for them.

Re: Tickford Capri

It's down to personal tastes I suppose. They were bloody expensive back in the day for what they were, still are. I suppose the Aston Martin name added a few grand to the price tag.

Re: Tickford Capri

Hi, On the whole, I like the Tickford.....a Capri with 205BHP, what's not to like? :) I can appreciate the attention to detail that went into altering the design, both the engineering aspects and the styling must have been studied in great detail before being redesigned. For example, the extra seal...

Andrew
I'm not sure about the volumes produced but so far interest is encouraging although in my experience interest doesn't always mean sales.

Andrew
I saw them in the flesh on Sunday and they look superb, also, I was gobsmacked at the price. As soon as I can get pictures I'll post them on my website.

Re: Splash guards

The CCI ones are the only ones that are available, as previously stated, they have to be fettled but are a good item at a fair price.

Re: Indicators gone fookin nuts

I've just checked the part number on a Capri one here and it is different to the ones quoted. I don't think it will work but I may be wrong. I do know that early MK2 and MK3 are wired differently, they will plug in but don't work. Hmm, if i ever take the dash apart enough to test it i'll report bac...

Re: What’s your favourite car show ?

The restorations that Mark Evans did were the best shows by a mile. It showed the true extent and cost of a full restoration. Not like the car SOS etc where half of the programme is made up of blagging of parts or taking time out for a jolly. What really pisses me off is the stupid deadlines, the ca...

Re: Heater Control cables

That's how I always do that job. I would never fit the heater without having the cables in place and checked out to make sure that they're working properly.

I have quite a few sets of rubber leaf spring bushes that I have pressed out of brand new leaf springs in order to fit polybushes.

Re: Anti Roll Bar Nut Seized

No, superflex, they are poly but unlike the cheaper options they do have a bit of give in them. If you look at the rubber bushes in new TCA's now they're really shit rubber, I always swap them for superflex when I'm fitting them.

Re: Anti Roll Bar Nut Seized

Slice through the edge of the nut with a thin cutting disc, that usually frees the nut off.
