Re: Crankshaft rear bush

Replaced the Crank needle roller bearing (spigot bearing) last year. I did it under the car :? I used bread, thick grease and a socket just right size on an extention. Got it out but took a while. An engine I rebuilt over Christmas a found a two jaw puller ground the inner edges enough that the arms...

New bulb fitted
Check connections on clock and bulb pcb.
Switch earths when handbrake is raised..

All other dash lights work fine how does the brake light get its 12v feed.

Scratching my head at the moment..

Re: Running battery voltage

One key thing here is you should have 12v on the small blue wire on the back of the alt when not running. What should happen is the light on the gauge bottom right will illuminate when the key is at position two sending 12v out to excite the alt when you start the car. Once started the alt will star...

Re: Make steering easier / adding power steering

One cheaper method is to fit rollerbearing top mounts. Get the right ones though as i have heard some people have had knocking noises from poorly designed ones. If your good with the welder the 2.8 rack will fit if to weld some fittings to the crossmember for the rack to bolt to. Then you will need ...

Re: Ball joint splitter

Ratchet strap on the antiroll bar on the TCA's takes most of the stress away and only needs one person to complete the job. Just buy a fork splitter and some universal boots cheap as chips. https://www.screwfix.com/p/laser-fork-ball-joint-separator-19mm/19907 Then just get a univerisal boot kit from...

Re: So...im assuming this is a bearing issue?

Just make sure you fit the bearing round the correct orientation.

Lots of Chinese Crappy bearings in the market put in named boxes so be careful too. too.

Re: Brake bleeding

The simple method to bleed these brakes would be to remove and rotate the caliper around to get the air as close to the bleed nipples as you can.

some pistons are hollow on the inside and will trap air. doing this will free it and allow a better bleed.

Dont mess with the timing yet. Clean the engine earths and give that a go. . Also check the battery voltage in the morning should be about 12.6v. 12 min if less then your battery could be out or you need more cold cranking amps might be Timing should be around 12deg BTDc poss abit more with the cam ...
