My Car in ClassicFord Magazine

Evening all. My car featured in this month's Classic Ford Magazine. I am not showing off -well maybe a little, or being conceited, I just thought some may like to see it and read it's story. I bought it 13 years ago and last year saw me at two shows on a shakedown. The restoration has been immense. ...

Amazing model work - sadly not the ones we would like!

So my lad wants models to play with of the cars we have but as always there aren't any so I started buying similar and painting them etc. Now my work is about 2% and that's being generous of this guys work. It's geeky but I found myself watching it. Absolutely amazing effort, ideas and skill. Even i...

Re: New Car Programme on TV Soon

I watched the first episode it was ok. That was exactly what I said about it when the wife asked if I had seen it. OK sums it up. All issues shown were sorted or advised on how to fix, but seemed like it lacked something although I don't really know what :headscratch: Quite agree Andy, it lacked so...

Re: Some cool stuff

Pretty cool . The real value in stuff like this becomes apparent when you try to find it .......might not be a lot of ££ but of great nostalgic historical value specially if you have the car too. This is the sort of thing that should tell a prospective buyer ( should you ever want to sell your Capr...

Re: Some cool stuff

That's great to have in your history file, there is some cool stuff there. I particularly like the '81 TT race programme, if anybody is interested, photos, full entry list and results can be found here: https://www.racingsportscars.com/etcc/photo/Silverstone-1981-09-13.html Andrew. Thanks Andrew. T...

Re: 42 years old

Thanks for the replies. Steve Capri did the resto on it. I helped where I could and learnt about Capris. It's got supurb history which is what I like about the car. I would have done the same to a Cameo or 1.3L etc. I am over the moon with it and I think as most people agree, these things are never ...

42 years old

So, 42 years ago Mr & Mrs Brooks collected thier car. On the very same date 29, years later I took ownership. From 2010 until last summer the car has undergone restoration. I took it too a couple of shows as part of a shakedown. Some gremlins to sort but nothing major. Incidentally I have owned ...

20220927_095419.jpg Pleased you are on the mend mate. Wow!! That is stunning, great find. I saw there was or is another OZ RS3100 on ebay in Olympic Blue. I love MK1's and the flat fronted 4 spokes are supurb. I will keep an eye out. It looks good in white with the stripes which is a bonus - but an...

Build records

Do Ford keep build records of our cars? I sometimes use to find build spec sheets on the rear seats etc. I just wondered whether anybody had contacted Ford and asked?

Also how accurate are build plates and sheets - how far did Ford keep to the specs excluding dealer fit or intervention?

Cheers
Mark
