Re: Project Carla 820

Hi Darren, first time that I have seen your thread and youtube video. The car looks great and it looks like you are doing a great job. Good story and great history, I know what you mean about the RGA kit but over the years I have warmed to these and think that they're kind of retro cool. A friends d...

Re: E reg 1600 laser

Sounds good and reasonably priced so good luck with the sale. As someone else has said, try and get it converted but keep all the original parts incase somebody wants to change it back.

Re: 6200 mile 280

As stated really its all subjective. It's worth what THAT person is prepared to pay and if the vendor sells it at that. This has no reflection on prices as it only takes one person to buy it and once they've bought they are out of the market, is there another? the rest might think no chance that the...

Re: Brooklands Ford Meet 1977'

Good find Mark! I love these old footages of old stuff in the time. It takes me back to my youf! :D No, it takes you back to another time, when prices sounded ridiculous but were probably true to the time. Brand new Grandad for £7000. But that is £40,000 today. That Cortina is £25,000 in today's mo...

Re: Capri feature Classic car weekly

Well that was a waste of time then, thanks for the heads up Mark. Ah I didn't realise they had asked you about things. I usually buy CCW and Practical Classics as they seem a bit more interesting then some other publications but naturally I have found they go a bit flat around this time of year. Wh...

Re: Capri feature Classic car weekly

That's it, price and value can be very different things and very subjective. The real value of any car depending on your commitment to it can be what ever it costs to get it to the standard that you want it to plus what you have paid for the car. Any Capri has at least 32 years of life in it and don...

Re: Capri feature Classic car weekly

Yeah it's not very good to be honest, just read it. It's more about the prices of cars. All subjective

Excellent stuff. I have to say I am Jealous. I agree though crisp winter drives are sometimes as good as those summer days.

Re: Q&A on Saxty'y book

Makes sense. I didn't realise elsewhere in Europe people don't have the same affection for Fords as us Brits. There could be an argument that whilst Ford may not make a profitable business from a venture such as this in short, thee could be worthwhile investment if future sales increase because of t...
