Re: Ford capri 1977 3.0s resto

Once again, fantastic looking car.

I'm not sure how far off done you are, but there was a journo looking for a Mk2 3.0S for a shoot and comparison against a Scimitar, I'll dig the link out if that's something that may be of interest to you.

Re: 4x4 Transits..

The electric and waterboard used to use them around here a bit, there were still a couple in use by BT or their contractors last year when they were renewing some overhead wiring, which were fitted with cherry pickers, there were a few Unimogs as well, handy looking bit of kit they are.

That's not much of a runway, couldn't they just chuck it up the M1 in the middle of the night or something?

Re: Modern cars..

I recently had the "pleasure" of a Vauxhall Mokka for a day, I hate modern cars with a vengeance (we have an S Max for a daily though), but the Mokka was something else, the short wheelbase, with wideish track and high centre of gravity meant that driving it on the local roads (cart tracks...

Re: what are my louvres worth

The problem with the "capri club" (it's not a club, it's a business) louvres is there's no fitting kit, which leaves you with either bonding it on, or making up fittings (fiddly), whereas fitting kits are available for Autoplas louvres, although there's a bit of a lead time.

Re: Seven years...

Is repairing it totally out of the question? I know its not the point and you shouldn't have to, but it beats having to wait and hunt for as long as you did for this one. I'll have a look at it when I've stopped being wound up at the thought of it, it'll repair, but it's always going to be full of ...

Re: Seven years...

I sorted things out with the seller, it's up to them to claim from their end as it's them who have the contract with the courier, although I suspect the courier has a "no car panels" policy, as most tend to. I did put a complaint in to the courier, and got the usual "sorry about that&...

Re: Seven years...

Just a quick update, needless to say the courier turned up when I was out, and ignored the note on the front door to leave any parcels with my neighbour, despite putting a card through the door to say "parcel left behind gate", the note did say if it was a first delivery attempt I could re...

Now all it's got to do is get here without the delivery driver using it as a football Nothing wrong with a little optimism! :) Andrew. That's all it's taken to find a decent rot free bootlid for my Mk1 without paying the stupid prices being asked for by some "enthusiasts" :wank: Now all it's got to do is get here without the delivery driver using it as a football and all should be well, watch this space, just a few more b...

Re: 280 TT

I sometimes wonder if these sellers actually think their cars are really worth the price they put on them, it could perhaps be easy to see a really nice example for strong money and think, well it only needs the wings slapping back on it, a couple of rattle cans of paint and a tube of instant gasket...

Re: 2.8i wanted please(£7600 budget)

Pricing for bodywork will always vary depending on what needs doing, who's doing it, and how far you want them to go with it, so it's a bit of a piece of string job really, half the battle is discovering other stuff that needs doing along the way, the only real way to get an idea is to get a quote, ...
