Re: 34ich carb electrical connection

I found the answer in another Q&A post - it was for a fuel shut-off valve. I’m fitting a 32/36 carb and think this wire is now redundant. Thank you.

34ich carb electrical connection

I have just removed my 34ich carb which has a manual choke. I had to disconnect an electrical wire on the engine side of the carb. Can anyone tell me what this wire is for?

Re: Gearbox mount modification

Thanks Major Tom & Steve - a big help. I am replacing the standard 4 speed box and I do need to replace the propshaft - different number of splines and a different length, I think. Thank you.

Girling brake servo alternative

I have spoken to several brake servo specialists (Pastparts, Powertrack etc) and apparently my servo cannot be refurbished. Also I have had no luck sourcing a replacement. Does anyone know of an alternative? It’s from a 1981 1.6GL.

Gearbox mount modification

Does anybody have any picture of the gearbox mount modifications needed when changing from a 4 speed to 5 speed (T9) gearbox? Cheers

Rear door card hole

Just bought a Mk 3 and the rear door cards have holes just behind the ash trays. Photos on line show some kind of clip - anyone know what these are?
