Yep both wires joined, I didn’t know if it was directional so just soldered it in and hoped for best

Just for arguments sake, if you were really desperate and, post apocalypse say, it was the only starter motor in the world, you could simply put a 10A Schottky diode in the wire to the coil and then join them? Sorry I’m replying as have same issue found the loose wire with no where to plug in and car starts on release of key

Surely that’s just a extra wire from cranking terminal to the coil
So just join the spare wire to the other one so both go to same terminal

I think the plan is to drop a seat to my friends and he’s going to work it out snd choo reeled it so it’s a inch atleast lower be £50 or whatever he will charge me well spent

Yes in mine I can clench my fist and slide that under the seat when fitted!

Had a mk2 ghia before no issues Just bought a 280 and I find the seat so high, my leg also traps a bit by the door handle I know my mk2 seats were softer saggier but this is neigh on uncomfortable 😢 Seat is deffo all the way back Is there anything I can do modification wise? And yes going on a diet ...
