Re: My Cigarette lighter has never worked

That works nicely as I need to have the dash out to replace 2 of the dash switches and the temperature gauge stopped working. I put in a new temp sender and the fuel gauge is fine so I know the voltage regulator is fine so I need to replace the actual gauge. NOBODY (or maybe I wasn't listening) told...

Re: My Cigarette lighter has never worked

Thanks for your responses,
I've tried plugging a satnav in, it doesn't draw power from it, i've replaced the fuse, nothing and the glovebox light has never ever worked either so I'm guessing there's some nasty electric gremlin living in the nearside of my capri!

Re: Complete electrical failure except one thing?!!

Wowzers! Thank you for taking the time to go into so much detail, the fuel pump get's it's earth and live from the battery, it doesn't pick it up from anywhere else, I'll Test the negative side fuses but yes a break in the positive wire does sound likely seeing as i've visually and physically checke...

Re: East Kent Vinyl roof kits any good?

Without a shadow of a doubt use: http://www.littleportboathaven.co.uk/car%20vinyl%20roof%20kits.htm I've got his stuff on my 3.0s and you couldn't tell it apart from the original ford material. when you look at it at a certain angle you even see the 'chequered' pattern as well. He sends out a genero...

Re: LSD Advice Quaife VS TranX

Hi Ghia15 I have 3.0s and I replaced the diff in it for a Quaife LSD, At the time I went balls deep and looked at the pre-loadings and everythings that was a couple of years ago and cant remember much now. Hand on my heart it's pricy £900 but that is the best investment you can make on your capri, I...

Re: Aerial problem

There's an aerial out there called a tune trapper, it will fit behind the dash and is 99.9% pure conductive copper blah blah blah. Totally passive doesn't need a 9v feed and picks up a fab FM signal. I had to order mine from America though.

Re: Capri security

This Is something I've thought about for a while but never told other Capri owners, So you get your project. You may decide to spend £100's or £1000's on your project. It is pure and utter madness not to include security in to your budget!!! I've spend countless man hours doing my capri up, I'd be s...

Would you use this flywheel?

Hi Guys, I took a punt on an essex v6 block on ebay as it had some goodies on it. I was striping it today and the aluminium flywheel was rock solid, the bolts held it in place and there wasn't an ounce of play with it. just for some reason 2 bolt holes next to each other, thoughts? http://i1121.phot...

Re: GENUINE MK3 WINGS

Hi Don't fret, one is genuine ford the other wing was made by Veng. Veng are identical to the originals they've even got the 2nd skin at front, the dimples but not the serial number or angled wheel arch lip. They are the best aftermarket wings they ever made and to my knowledge I've never even heard...

Re: Newman cams?

I've got a PH2 in my essex v6 and i'm very happy, the midrange of my essex sounds more like a v8! Very good cams, I ordered one at least 3 years ago and David offered me a tour around his factory, what a nice guy!
