a capri with a decent engine as a factory option would have been good
should have been a v8 in there

they have definately changed over the last few years. 5 years back when I had my 2.0 laser, I put it up for sale, it was solid but not mint, mot and taxed, and I had a hard time getting £400 for it. On the look out now and theres not much around for £1000

the 2.8 is now gone, I broke it for spares in the end, the shell turned out to be seriously worse than I expected. Cortina is running ok and its good fun but its just not a capri, so as soon as I sell my 4x4 I'll be on the hunt for a capri. I might have something in the pipeline but I'll keep quiet...

I would be having a good look at the strut tops on that car, someone has painted inside of the wing area and over the top of the struts, even coating all the bolts and the top of the strut itself. Looks recently done, very clean and bright paint

its very hard to tell from the ebay auction, only sure way is to go and look at it with someone who knows capris or car body work. My capri looked ace in photos, but underneath it was a rot box. I wouldnt buy another car off ebay without seeing it and having a proper look at the shell

It doesn't look good, but mine was worse and I got it sorted. :) So you are looking at new wings, and drip rails, with a few repair sections to the tops of the inner wings and head lamp bowls. Most Capris are going to have some degree of rot in these areas, you'll just need to make your repair sect...
