Re: Fuel Sender Unit
Yes it's a labour of love I guess as they say. Just as you tick one job off the list another seems to go on it!

Re: Fuel Sender Unit
I put on a new rubber seal when I replaced the tank, as I thought that will leak if I didn't replace it....... It's actually leaking from around the return pipe where it attaches to the main body of the unit. Lets just say the tank was painted and looked great underneath when it should have been scr...

Fuel Sender Unit
Looking for a fuel sender unit for 2.0S if anyone has one? Just replaced my leaking fuel tank to find the sender now leaks as well - not happy! I know new they are £135ish but hoping to find something a bit cheaper after shelling out for a new tank, exhaust, bushings and numerous other parts.

Re: Chrome Oil Filler Cap
Thanks all. If you do have another Nick that would be great. I just have the plastic one which was painted at some point and is all flaking off, so lets the rest of the engine bay down a bit. Think a nice plain chrome one should do the job nicely.

Re: Glovebox light switch
Cheers. Just mainly curious as to how this should actually work as can bypass the switch so it just turns on with the lights or simply not bother at all all, as I have hardly ever used a glovebox on any car I have had. Just a bug bare that if it's there it should work!

Re: My Cigarette lighter has never worked
If that's the case I would pull the wire out of the back and back sure if it's getting voltage. It does sound like the cigarette lighter is at fault here if everything else on the circuit is working, but I would check this before investing. Funnily enough I have just bought a cigarette lighter as my...

Re: My Cigarette lighter has never worked
Looked in the Haynes manual and the clock and interior light are on the same circuit. Are these working?

Glovebox light switch
Hi,
Should there be a spring in the housing of the glovebox light switch. It appears to need to 'pop forward' for earth connect, but I can't believe this is a manual process of pulling the rubber on the switch. Just trying to make this light work!
Thanks.

Re: My Cigarette lighter has never worked
If the light is working then the Earth is OK. The lighter itself is on a separate circuit. Have you tried plugging something else in to see it it works at all e.g. an inflator/ sat nav? If they are not working I would start with checking the fuse.

Re: Is it just me....
I know what you mean I think this whole situation has been tough on everyone. It has been quite depressing as barely leave my house anymore as now working from home until at least Christmas, but likely to be a permanent thing. I have lost interest in doing my house and garden at the moment. Spent ag...

Kettering Northamptonshire. Be great to know if there are any Capri or general Ford clubs in the area.
Re: Car Cover
Thanks for the advice. Going to purchase one soon as the birds have taken a real liking to the Capri this week!
Re: Car Cover
Shocked by that. I was thinking of a cover to protect my car not ruin the paint work!

Re: BRITAIN'S MOST BORING CAR
Can we make a a list? I will start with some hideous cars - Fiat Multipla and Nissan Juke. Never driven and never would I want to! Although not exactly British.
