2.8 throttle cables are longer and not too sure on clutch cables, must be a difference I should think.

As per title, Pair of axle halfshafts from a 2.8i, c/w bearings, backing plates, shoes, wheel cylinders, all complete ready to bolt onto an atlas axle. This will give you bigger brakes. Massive garage clearout, last few items have to go. Make me a sensible offer.. :poke: Collection from Berkshire.

Check your carb mixture, may be too rich when booting it! May be worth overhauling your carb with a service kit. Good luck.

Lift up bonnet (obviously) and twist your neck around and you will find (or should) I think 4 small nuts, something like 6mm or so holding it on, these usually snap so will need to get replacements off e-bay, easy job to do mate, just be prepared for them to snap! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CAPRI-BON...

Seeing as its a 1.6, have you changed the diaphram in the vv carb?, if i recall these always split. they were not the best carbs in the world, ok when brand new, useless when old. Try to get a complete weber and manifold from a 2.0 and swap everything over, really easy. Stick on a k & n filter a...
