the mechanic told me the old camshaft looked ok. Im going to get the whole lot replaced and the tappets adjusted correctly, i hope this is the answer.

New followers were not fitted. The ticking noise started so suddenly so im now thinking its not wear. The tappets were also not replaced so it could well be a tappet.

Before we go any further you must know im a novice and not a mechanic! My daily driver 2.0 laser was making a slight ticking noise so i got a new camshaft fitted and the tappets adjusted and this ticking noise stopped. Then a month later while driving the carat high this ticking noise came back but ...

yeh i am re-thinking about the wheels, i herd a capri with 17 inch wheels will never drive as nice as a capri with 13 inch wheels which is kinda obvious. And you are right about the offset i need to know the offset of the wheels befor i purchase them.

OK so 7 x 17 should fit fine with spacers. The wheels are wolfrace and i herd spacers are needed but is it true you have to lengthen the wheel studs?
