Re: How do we make an all electric capri

I can see the cities having people bumming around in electric cars but seriously, spending 20 - 75 grand on one ? Most of my last contracts involved me driving 1.5-2 hrs each way every day to earn a crust. That’s 135 miles each day, and what, I just grind to a halt after 100 miles? Oh yes, I could g...

Re: How do we make an all electric capri

I am just hoping something terrible happens to Greta Thunberg and all of these NEW vegans get sick. I get fed up of virtuous people preaching, when they are all hypocrites Indeedy... I suppose instead of having proper paper notes we could start using millions of tons of plastic to make them instead...

Re: How do we make an all electric capri

For their own egotistical objective some waste of space will probably start slowly by stealth, increase the fuel duty and VED for our cars in the name of the planet, whilst blatantly ripping up ancient forests, wildlife habitats, country villages for HS2, just so that 9 to 5-ers can get another 27 m...

Re: How do we make an all electric capri

Love the posts on this ! :agree: Absolutely sick to the bone of aggressive so called climate activists who obviously think drilling the oceans for another (rarer) mineral is going to change anything. We are responsible for 1% of the world’s emissions but are leaders in offshore wind. A shit looking ...

Re: Dash Lighting

Well I got a scrap dash pod and “rebuilt “ it by taking out ALL the instruments and removing the 4 blue light caps. Cleaned all white surfaces including down the holes . I took off all the little nuts and copper washers and cleaned them up with sandpaper and WD40, then removed the circuit board flex...

Re: Another measurement please

Hahah It turned into a rant and rave ! There’s some good and bad aspects of both systems, however - OUR imperial system developed over centuries as an easy way to judge things, the inch the width of a man’s thumb, yard length of an arm, etc..whilst god knows what the metre represents.. if you ...

Re: New Capri Book

Sounds like a good event, I went to the Dunton one, didn’t realise there was this one as well.
I saw CCI email saying there was an additional book called Capri 50 but when I visited the site, I couldn’t buy it separately, you had to get the car you always promised yourself with it..

B193 OVT Capri 2.8i special lacquer red, I think in 2013 she had a lot of work done on body , welding etc so someone kindly saved her.if anyone can help with history and or paperwork It would be great! http...

Hi there I got the plastic saddle mentioned by stevemarl
However I’ve heard there’s also a heavy duty version.
I saw this on flea bay ...is this the one?

Item
193208697005

It’s 22 quid rather than 3.50 so I’m not sure..

Late starting heater

Hi, Wonder if anyone else had experience of this..I thought my heater had packed up , but I noticed that she only kicks in after about 5 mins or so. Before that she’s dead and nothing coming out not even cold. It’s weird as when she’s running warm the heater is perfect, dash and footwell. She seems ...

Re: *Wanted*Tailgate wiper motor plastic trim cover

@ lord flashheart, I bought the book & loop and fitted the trim cover.
Absolutely fantastic, thank you!! Recommend to anyone looking to buy the replacement from Capri club, it’s so authentic you don’t notice the difference.

My original almost disintegrated it was a mess!

Re: Sunroof seal

I’m glad I finally found this.. thank you! I couldn’t tilt / slide after I started putting it on either way as the unfitted portion would jam the sunroof.. I had to give up after ruining a brand new seal, which is so annoying. It’s a shame there’s no instructions. Now there’s a seal-less roof and -3...

Even better! Yes I cannot see the point in sticking hideous looking plates on a classic that weren’t even around when the car was in its prime. Well done!

Re: Rear No plate

Noticed when I took mine off they had the plastic lugs inserted into pre-drilled holes allowing for plastic screws. Unfortunately one had come out so someone just drilled the plates on with self tappers. You can get the plastic sets of lugs and screws from eBay. Just a piece of advice when ordering ...
