Late starting heater

Hi, Wonder if anyone else had experience of this..I thought my heater had packed up , but I noticed that she only kicks in after about 5 mins or so. Before that she’s dead and nothing coming out not even cold. It’s weird as when she’s running warm the heater is perfect, dash and footwell. She seems ...

Re: *Wanted*Tailgate wiper motor plastic trim cover

@ lord flashheart, I bought the book & loop and fitted the trim cover.
Absolutely fantastic, thank you!! Recommend to anyone looking to buy the replacement from Capri club, it’s so authentic you don’t notice the difference.

My original almost disintegrated it was a mess!

Re: Sunroof seal

I’m glad I finally found this.. thank you! I couldn’t tilt / slide after I started putting it on either way as the unfitted portion would jam the sunroof.. I had to give up after ruining a brand new seal, which is so annoying. It’s a shame there’s no instructions. Now there’s a seal-less roof and -3...

Re: Rear No plate

Even better! Yes I cannot see the point in sticking hideous looking plates on a classic that weren’t even around when the car was in its prime. Well done!

Re: Rear No plate

Noticed when I took mine off they had the plastic lugs inserted into pre-drilled holes allowing for plastic screws. Unfortunately one had come out so someone just drilled the plates on with self tappers. You can get the plastic sets of lugs and screws from eBay. Just a piece of advice when ordering ...

Re: BREAKING FOR SPARES

A real shame... looks like one of the very first mk3 2.0 Ghias. If only I had won the lottery I’d go round and rescue ones like this!! 😄

Rear Creaking & big knocking over bumps

Hi , this has got worse over the last couple of months, it seems there is a creaking sound and quite abrupt “hits” when I go over even small bumps. It feels like the car is hitting bump stops or something.
Could it be very worn out shocks/dampers?

Cheers

Re: *Wanted*Tailgate wiper motor plastic trim cover

I didn’t buy it from eBay, it was direct from the club, so wasn’t aware of that text..It’s a pretty hefty piece to just try and use Velcro so I’d be interested to know other people’s experience..

Re: *Wanted*Tailgate wiper motor plastic trim cover

Yeah I saw that, so that in most people’s mind just means not the exact clips that ford used, not no fixing points.
The only viable alternative is to drill lots of holes, and so after spending all that money on it, that original look is gone and it will just look naff.

Hi, did you fit the new CCI trim? I got mine and the back is just flat with no fixing points. How on earth would that work!

Re: headlights

Hi, is there an easy way to get both twin lamps on dip and both twin lamps on full? I never understood why cars have twin lamps and just have a single set on at any one function. I heard that it can be done with a relay and some extra wiring, and maybe different “dual function “ bulbs, preferably th...

Ahhhh I see! Thanks for that clarity Steve.
I’ve ordered the green ones, with the assumption that I will remove the covers, to get the original effect....
Just hope they don’t get lost at sea...

I wanna get them pretty quickly, so I’ll look out for these somewhere in the UK ...
