Re: Classic Tesla for sale...

I did, to a short fellow in a green velvet suit and golden buckles on his shoes. Reported for being heightist. Shit. Ok here goes... Dear fellow Laser Pagers, I recently wrote a reply on this thread, in which I referred to a green-suited gentleman. In my unthinking, straight white-man's hateful col...

What a shock! I was listening to Sara Cox and they were all in tears.
He invented his own brand of broadcasting and it won't quite be the same now.

Re: Misfiring when flooring it from idle - 2l Laser

Blow back through the carb is usually an indication of lean running. As it happens under load is the accelerator pump working ? The other thought is the float height correct? If low the engine might be running out of fuel under high load. When you set the ignition timing did you have vacuum disconn...

Re: she's not the Queen

To be honest, I don't see what people have against Camilla. I'm sure she's a perfectly nice person. The same goes for Meghan, but people get worked up about what they read in the papers. It's not like she's Cruella de Vil or anything. Andrew. And just to really wind people up...................... ...

They let me in with a Z4, so she should be ok.

Re: Copper grease - Yay or nay

Thinking of it, the Capri has shims that should reduce squealing anyway. Did you know.............................? Anti-squeal shims do not reduce the noise, they simply change the resonant frequency to that beyond the range of hooman hearing. Cats and dogs still get annoyed by it! I remember when...

Re: Annual camping weekend - 30 June , 1 & 2 July

Having bitten the bullet and taken early retirement, I now find myself busier than ever. :xd: :xd: :xd:
However, I'm keeping the weekend of 5-7 July 24 free.
Hopefully that's the right dates?

Thank you all, and sorry for the late reply.
Just got back from 2 weeks in Barbados, celebrating both my birthday and my early retirement.
Spent my birthday morning snorkelling with turtles!

Ah well, back to reality.

Forgive me if I'm missing the point but are you suggesting CapriGear's reply is not helpful.
Probably the most experienced Capri restorer you'll find but if you've dismissed his input then fair enough eh?

Re: ULEZ advice

What reg date is yours Nick? You can only register a vehicle with the DVLA as historic in the April following the car reaching 40. So for my June 83 Capri I have to wait until April 2024. Therefore I have to pay ULEZ for the next 6 months or so. That'll be £25 this weekend as I am using it Friday a...

My missus says rubber every time.
Unless you live miles away from anyone, as polyurethane squeaks quite loud and the sound travels for miles on a quiet night.
