Selling my 280 after almost 10 years
Well the time has come to let my 280 go. House purchases are looming and the money would certainly help with the deposit side of things so here goes.. Build No 667 MOT August 2017 It's covered 99,000 miles and I have every MOT since it was 3 years old, including a massive history file to prove milea...

Re: dim dials
A few years I had the instrument binacle out from the dash and replaced all the bulbs with like for like Ford items. As a result I can now read all the guages at night without any problem !. For some reason though, the illumination for the four smaller guages remains green, whilst the speedo & ...

is the water circulating through the radiator? I know it's been re-cored but it might be worth checking if you have not already.

Re: LOTUS MK1 CORTINA RESTORATION
This is quite simply fantastic work! My Dad has a Mk2 Lotus Cortina in restoration at the moment, its still in the welding stage but he has just retired to I am expecting progress and a lot of late nights in the garage to come. It's black which we understand from the Lotus register to be rare, the p...

Genuine Oil Filter
Thought this was worthy of asking the forum. I was looking for a genuine oil filter for my 280, and so after looking over Ebay :ebay: I found one listed for the 2.8 Granada and Sierra 4x4 (2.8), assuming this to be the same I went to order but though it worth noting to the seller which is actually a...

2.8 Pad Anti Rattle Springs
Morning Guys, I'm after a set of front brake pad anti rattle springs for My 280 as there are none fitted to mine and the pads rattle a bit. I have scoured ebay, and only found brake fitting kits that do have the shims, pins and R clips, but no anti rattle springs. Local motor factors have proved no ...

Excellent work!
I built my first car from the ground up, and I was proud of it, as I am sure you will be with yours too (It was a polo though, nothing quite as exciting as a Capri!)
Liking the progress you're making! Keep it up!

Re: Mysterious Vibration......
Fair comment Sean, I hadn't really given that a thought although they have been refurbished by Pristine so I really hope they're not buckled!! I should maybe give it a go for all the time it takes to swap them over. Could be a tyre too perhaps although as you say, and I agree that if it was wheel or...
