So pray tell, how are they going to be slower? Here's a hint, they're not. Its all in the heads of people....

Re: My car after a fight with a bollard

Personally I'd start with taking off the cheapass noname tyres and sticking some decent ones on. I once ...

Re: Wanted MK3 1.6 or 2.0
You should be able to get one for that. Forget the mileage. Most are unlikely to still have the original speedo in. Mine is on 174,000 miles and drives better than one I had that I restored which was less than half that before I started on it. I'd go so far as to say that apart from the one I spent ...

Re: Oil Pressure Issue - Still stopping me Sleeping! Help!
Just do not know what to do next and where to turn? Scared of doing a long distant journey (say a whole 20 Miles!) as i don't know what will happen. What else can i do? Someone said it could be the Oil Pump - does anyone agree? What else can i get checked out. We are now expecting a little one in a...

Re: REDLINE of capri's
I've got the Autocar review of the MK2 1.6GT and they reckoned it was pointless going over 5500rpm as the car stopped pulling. That's correct. Once you go over 5500RPM on the stock camshaft, the power tails off so all you're doing is turning fuel to smoke. As ever, knowing what the powerband of the...

Sounds like a plan if its sunny. I'd go in the Capri but currently its sat out in the rain with one wing tip in primer waiting for the sun to come out long enough for me to get some colour on it.
