Re: Ford Fiesta - The End

Same here Nick, we have a little Ecoboost Fiesta now, lovely little car but doesn't have the character of the previous Fiesta plus from what I'm told the timing belt on the Ecoboost engine actually runs through the engine oil and that just doesn't seem like a good idea to me.... I'm lucky with my C...

Re: Post Office

So,, I popped into the post office on the way to work earlier to send a packet to a mate up in Co. Durham and the nice lady in the post office gave me a customs form to fill in. So I said "???" and she said "oh I thought Co. Durham was in Ireland"  I’m originally from...

Re: In with the new……

Love the green. I've mentioned it before on here but green is a well underrated colour on cars.. especially with black wheels and trim. Are those wheels chrome? Or is it some newfangled posh metallic black colour? Hard to tell! Cheers, it is a nice colour (as was the orange to be fair). It’s funny ...

I think only we got the squarer shaped coupe for some reason. I do like the European shape I must admit!

In with the new……

When we were camping I think I mentioned that I had a new Fiesta incoming. Well it’s here! :D New and old: 41DA5155-3367-42A3-A313-17C56E3E144A.jpeg Despite the obvious penny pinching by Ford I’m quite pleased with it, the overall build quality has improved and the opening panoramic roof is quite co...

Re: Belated Unseasonal Motor Meet (Eastern Region)

It was a thoroughly enjoyable weekend, if somewhat “unseasonal”!

I’m really pleased we did it, it was great to see everyone and the venue was a right result. We just need to do it a couple of months earlier next year!

I’ve met an awful lot of people who know/knew somebody with an “orange RS” (MK2 Focus that is). Strangely I don’t know a single one!

I do check the forum every few days but I don't always log in (so I end up missing private messages, or is that massages Tom?). Being Capri-less I don't often have anything useful/relevant to say. I can tell you all about Fiesta STs though, I have another due to arrive in September.... Plastic...

Re: Sunroof - What Can Happen

It could certainly be done, but you’d have to REALLY want the challenge to pay over £1k for it. With that amount of corrosion (and that’s just what we can see!) it’s worth more as a sum of its parts, sadly. Edited to add that it’s on eBay and they want £3k. Twice that will buy you a very tidy exampl...

Re: Sunroof - What Can Happen

I’m very much of the opinion that prices are what they are; old Fords are valuable (which can be both good and bad). That Sierra however isn’t worth a lot more than £1200, in fact I wouldn’t even pay that personally. Whilst it’s generally very difficult to buy a car, restore it and recoup your money...

Re: How could they!

Went down to my local garage today to book an MOT for the 2.0. And it's being knocked ;) down :o I took my first ever car there nearly 40 years ago and the 2.0 has been tested there every year since 2002. Seems like the brothers that ran it have called it a day as there is no suggestion they have m...

Re: Capri on Steve Wright

Two mentions that I heard, although it could have been more, for the Capri on The Big Show today. I think the subject was listeners' favourite cars that they have owned. One from a current owner called Rachel who owns a 1986 2.8 Special, and there was somebody called Aaron who used to own a 2.0 Las...

Lovely car :agree: This car looks stunning in Modena green, although the HPI check in the listing states that it may not be the original colour. I wonder who restored it? Andrew. I think they were green, white or blue only :headscratch: Looks a nice job but I would never change a colour from it's o...
