Re: Darts Farm Classic Car Show, Topsham

:agree: Andrew, small shows can attract owners/cars that wouldn't necessarily bother with the larger ones.

Re: Darts Farm Classic Car Show, Topsham

Good to see your Laser getting a good airing Nige. Never seen a Zodiac estate, unusual car & in great condition. Like that American woodie too. Estates are getting really popular lately. Cheers for posting these. Cheers Rob. Yep the Zodiac Estates were converted by Abbott I think. Rare indeed. The ...

Darts Farm Classic Car Show, Topsham

Went to a local car show today. It's only a small show and around 100+ cars turned up. A good mix of old and new on show. Thankfully, the weather was mostly dry if not sunny with just a light shower or two. Just the three cars under our XROC banner (XR3i cabriolet, Orion 1.6i Ghia and my laser). And...

Re: WYE Fords Monmouth Cortina Day

[Cheers Nige, owners of Zodiac parked up, lifted out deck chairs @ sat and watched loads of people admire their car all day. Haven’t seen a woody like that MK1 in person before, took that pic of the line of brown Cortina’s as you rarely see one let alone a line up of them. Guess brown was big in lat...

 Nice photos and a good variety too Rob. Glad the weather improved. The Mk 1 Cortina Woody, late Zodiac and selection of brown Mk4 Cortina's caught my eye.

It's this one:

By the look of it they are still available to buy.

Andrew.
Thanks Andrew

Re: Capri at 50 magazine

Agree Andy and Jason. Always a poignant service and a reality check too. Managed to watch some of the BBC coverage at work (decent boss). Loved the flypast but over too quick. Sad to think that one day there won't be any veterans/generation from this era alive to share their stories. I hope that thi...

I think the order you're quoting is correct Dan although it's difficult to see on mine.
I've just taken off the drivers side wiper arm and dust cover; hope this shot helps.

Re: Front wiper seals.

Hi, I’m just fitting up loads of bits for my mk2 restoration, I’ve got to get the front wiper mechanism sorted while the dash etc is all in bits but I can’t remember how it all goes together! I’ve got all the washers and spacers and I’ve got a pair of the plastic ‘top hat’ style cap/cover things an...

Re: 1979 Capri 2.0 "Ghia"

:welcome: to the forum and great to see another Mk2. All the best with sorting the jobs. Nice daily driver too; 1.1/1.3L? I always preferred the Mk3 to the later facelift/Mk4 of circa 1986.

Re: Textured paint finish effect of lower body panels

Don't know if Shutz its a generic term but when we did Biscuit, we used this kind of thing, applied using an air spray gun. Used on the lower panels & the whole of the underneath from memory https://www.amazon.co.uk/Tetraschutz-Application-Underseal-Underbody-Protection/dp/B01H9IZESI I can find out...

I always thought it was stonechip. But what a great question, would be very handy to know for sure.
There are some off the shelf products, such as Waxoyl Stonechip etc. However, the wording states that the product remains flexible, which doesn't sound suitable.
