Capri Laser for sale 1986 2.0
Hello all, I hope this message finds you well. Due to a severe decline in health, I have had to stop working. Thus I need to sell my favourite possession. Re: Unusual Capri wheels for sale
Selling these wheels that were on my capri at some point. I have 4 all with tyres. I think all the tyres hold air apart from one. I saw a set of these on eBay which were silver or silly money, not sure what they are! But I need the space so time for them to go to a new home. Message if interested. ...

Re: Capri Mk3 for sale
Ford Capri Mk3 Light restoration project. 1600 pinto, runs drives and stops. Will need a brake caliper rebuild but comes with a kit. Needs a couple of small patches of welding to each side in the footwells, and a 1inch square to an inner wing, other than that its a very clean shell. No back window ...

What size and width wheels can I run, coils. Help me figure out my set up!!
Hi all, I hope you're all safe during these testing times. I'm currently stuck in America which has given me lots of time to think about new plans and modifications to do to my capri, upon my return. The main thing I want to change is the wheels. I know there has been plenty of talk on what sizes yo...

I sold a car almost 2 years ago and its never been picked up.
Hi all, sorry not strictly capri related but I need advice as I'm at a bit of a loss with this one, I've seen quite a lot of similar cases but not quite like mine. I sold an old landrover almost 2 years ago to a gentleman in America, he paid promptly, V5 singed over and said he would arrange shippin...

1.6 LS for sale and two ford Taunus'
Hi all, I've got a 1.6 LS project for sale. The car turns over at the key but doesn't fire. Has some holes in the floor and the paint isn't good! The cars interior is stripped but the dash and steering wheel are all untouched and the dash is un cracked. Almost everything that was unbolted is basic a...

Re: My Capri failed it MOT HELP!!
Once you've fitted it all back together it will need a few pumps of the brake pedals and clicking the handbrake up and down a few times so it can adjust itself to the correct position - not sure if you've done that already? Hi, Done that and taken it for a test drive. All seems fine but not much di...

Re: My Capri failed it MOT HELP!!
Hi all, Thanks for all the help so far. I was able to take both the rear drums off today and the hand brake mechanism was very stiff. took it all apart and cleaned it up, lubricated and re installed. I noticed when connecting the handbrake wire to the back of the driverside drum, i had to pull it to...

Re: My Capri failed it MOT HELP!!
What you need to do is to get somebody who can show you how to do the job properly, why not the examiner who has failed them? I'm not at all comfortable about people just "having a go" at something that if it failed could easily end up being fatal Get yourself a workshop manual and read i...

Re: My Capri failed it MOT HELP!!
Brutal and direct maybe but honestly you set yourself up for it. Anything safety related should always be fixed properly - NOT simply given a "quick fix" in order to gain a MOT pass. It isn't a long job to do properly after all. Then won't someone please tell me why to do! I was told ever...

Re: My Capri failed it MOT HELP!!
The emissions thing is easy...follow the instructions (I've put on here before) for setting the idle mixture, it will then pass. The brakes issue is different. Think for a moment what you are saying. Your car has failed the MOT test for it's braking ability. That means it is unsafe to be on the roa...

My Capri failed it MOT HELP!!
Hi, So after having my Capri laser in the lock up for the last 6 months it was time to take it for an MOT and it failed on a few things that I didn't expect. It failed on... Exhaust emissions carbon monoxide content excessive (8.2.1.2(b)) The CO was at 5.78% and failed as the max is 4.50 The HC was ...

Re: Is my exhaust Legal? MOTable?
It would be interesting to know what difference to performance and economy the absence of back pressure would make. I can't comment on economy as I haven't really done enough miles in it since to gauge that properly. In terms of performance, It drives better than ever... I used to have a aftermarke...
